On Wednesday May 2nd 2012, my team and I attended the Jacob’s Cure Gala at the famed Cipriani on Wall Street. Joined by some of New York’s elite we dinned and had drinks and honored Mr. Donny Deutsch who has been a soldier for those suffering from Canavan disease.

On May 2nd, 2012 I joined an elite group of New Yorkers gathered at famed restaurant Cirpirani’s for the 2012 Jacob’s Cure Gala. The evening was hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb and honored advertising executive and television personality Donny Deutsch for his longtime support of the cause.

On Wednesday, am-NewYork headed to Cipriani Wall Street for the Jacob's Cure Dream Big gala, which honored New York own Donny Deutsch. The affair raised money for the nonprofit organization, which seeks to find a cure for Canavan Disease.

...But months later, Jess has taken the "flash some leg" thing a whole new level, hitting the red carpet at the Dream Big! The Jacob's Cure 2012 gala on Wednesday night in this strapless and sparkly blue gown cut up to there.

Jessica White continued her red carpet fashion rol at The Jacob's Cure Dream Big Gala rocking another amazing designer gown. This time Jessica White managed to outshine her Hollywood peers once again wearing a floor-sweeping blue dress with white peep-toe heels and a super-sleek bun hairstyle. Perfection!

We hear... That Leslie Modell Rosenthal, of Warburg Realty and HGTV’s “Selling New York,” hosted a party and fashion show at 220 Riverside Blvd. that featured apparel by Christina Makowsky and jewelry by Judith Ripka; it benefited Jacob’s Cure, which fights Canavan disease.

Thirty researchers and seventeen families from around the world met at the Renaissance Marriott in Harrison, June 3rd-5th to “talk about new treatments on the horizon for Canavan’s Disease, which we are excited about,” said Sarah Goshman, Assistant Director of Jacob’s Cure, the non-profit foundation initiated by Jordana Holovach, Jacob’s mother, to find a cure.

HARRISON, N.Y. - Jacob's Cure, which was founded by Harrison native Jordana Holovach,  announced it had raised roughly $1,747,000 in contributions in an annual report. The non-profit organization has continued to grow each year since its start in 2000 through noteworthy events and fundraisers.

Three of Peggy and Walter Coover's four children were born with Canavan disease.  This Shippensburg, PA family is trying to raise money for Jacob's Cure to help fund a stem cell clinical trial.

Patients with Canavan Disease came to Harrison from all around the world this weekend to participate in the Jacob's Cure research summit at The Renaissance Marriott. The weekend kicked off with a welcome dinner in the Hudson Room of the hotel on Friday night for all the families.

The patients and families of those suffering from a fatal genetic disorder  are meeting with dedicated researchers this weekend to continue their efforts to find a cure for the disease.

Families affected by the deadly Canavan disease will soon come together for a conference where they will get a chance to meet the scientists working to save their children's lives.

"I would love to do the movie — of course, I don't know anything about it yet, but if I am asked I would love to be in it!" Emmanuelle told In Touch at the Rock of Ages benefit for Jacob's Cure in LA on February 17.

American Idol alum Constantine Maroulis originated the role on Broadway.  He continues to play him in the national touring company, which happens to open on Feb. 15 at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.  Two nights later, the show will host a benefit for Jacob's Cure, a nonprofit that raises funds to help cure Canavan disease, a fatal genetic disorder that affects children at birth.

HARRISON — For some, the end of January means the end of voting for a very important and personal cause.

Those involved with Canavan disease — a rare genetic neurological disorder — have been flooding the national Pepsi Refresh Project with support in an attempt to win $250,000 for Jacob's Cure.

This year, residents of Rye, Harrison, and the surrounding areas are making a different kind of New Year’s resolution. They’re resolving to do good in 2011 by voting every day in January to help Jacob’s Cure, a local charity, win a $250,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh contest to fund lifesaving research for children with Canavan disease.

Regular performances run through February 27, but if you're looking to make it more than a night of mousse and acid-washed denim, spring for a special performance on February 17.

HARRISON — Jacob Sontag, like thousands of other patients worldwide with Canavan disease, is desperately in need of a cure.

When Jordana Holovach’s son Jacob was six-months-old, doctors diagnosed him with Canavan Disease. “I was basically told to go home and watch him die, that there was really nothing that we could do. It was a rare disease. It’s a brain disease that affects the white matter of the brain,” Jordana Holovach told WCBS 880 reporter Sean Adams.

Ten years ago, Rye resident Jordana Holovach founded the organization Jacob's Cure to raise awareness and fund lifesaving research for Canavan Disease, a genetic disorder that affects her son, Jacob, and thousands of other people throughout the country.

Jacob's Cure will be competing in the Pepsi Refresh contest in January, 2011 to win $250,000. The grant will fund research to save the lives of children with Canavan Disease, but they need your help! In 1996, when the Internet was still in its infancy and medical information was harder to find, Jordana Holovach began searching for answers about her baby, Jacob.

Jacob's Cure spent its first 10 years hosting modestly sized benefits like family bowling tournaments, casino nights, and documentary screenings. But last Thursday at Pier Sixty, 800 guests raised more than $1 million at the foundation's first gala benefit.
